This is what some our our previous students have to say about our training course:

Hello David:

I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to attend the Visual FoxPro training with Interactive Micro Systems. The class was one of the best, if not the best training class I have ever attended. The class attendance is kept at 6 people or less which meant a great deal of one-on-one training. It was the perfect environment for addressing specific needs. I was able to ask Philip specific questions related to our current projects. I was even able to spend the last day working entirely on my current project with Philip there to assist me when I had questions. I was able to walk out of the class with the core of 2 of the 3 projects I went there with completed.

I learned a great deal about Visual FoxPro. It's a pretty powerful tool and has many of the features of the larger DB products like Oracle. It supports rollback and commit concepts. You can also create applications that run under IE utilizing the paging and scrolling capabilities of IE...

Visual FoxPro also supports Automation Servers or COM components. I thought this concept was very useful especially if we decide to move towards data warehousing. Automation Servers would allow us to retrieve data from any of our current sources but apply 'standard rules' to data groupings returned to the user. This would insure that the logical data set returned is 'standard' regardless of the 'application' requesting the data...

I also found most of the Visual FoxPro functions and tools very easy to use...

Ambitious. Informative. Incontrovertibly a superb learning experience. A five day 'adventure' that challenges the intellect and teaches the in-depth realms of Visual FoxPro. Excellent for beginners and experienced programmers as well.

I would highly recommend the Visual Foxpro training course to anyone interested in learning the nuances of the language. The small class sizes allowed the training to be modified to fit the requirements and knowledge levels of the individual students.

The workbook provided has proven to be a valuable asset in developing code as Microsoft’s manuals are far from being comprehensive and usable. The ability to call the instructor with your questions, as you develop you own software with Visual FoxPro, has been of great value as the instructor can often answer a question that you would spend many hours toiling over in a matter of minutes.

The Developers Toolkit has also proven to be quite useful saving a great deal of time in developing code to do common tasks.

I just wanted to drop you a line to state how much I enjoyed and how beneficial your Visual FoxPro class was to me. I had attended a class for 5.0 earlier but all they did was show how to do things in Visual FoxPro as compared to FoxPro 2.6.

You were absolutely correct in your description of your class as to a non-programmer all the way through an experienced FoxPro programmer based course. I truly appreciated the attention you paid to all students no matter what their knowledge/experience level was. I, being a novice to FoxPro, learned how to program covering most if not all functions of the language (input, output and data manipulation) and I know the student beside me, a seasoned, working consultant, also got many helpful tips, methods and general information.

The last two items I will mention which has always been big points of concern for me with attending classes is: 1) There was a computer for each student and 2) You went off-line with several students so that you could keep the main flow of the class at a consistent pace. Both of these points mean a lot because both can slow up other students do to "re-hashing" basics that only a few may need and/or "going over your head" due to some advanced people wanting to talk about subjects that are way beyond the majority of students in class.

Finally, definitely let me know when you develop your next course in this series. I am very much interested in attending.

The Visual Foxpro class has been instrumental in helping me to develop faster and tighter code.  The instructor goes right to the meat of the developmental process without getting you lost along the way. I highly recommend this class to anyone needing to learn application development in the Visual World.

Hey Philip:

I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for the course. It was great. You answered  the questions I had. It's so good to be able to do more than just the most basic of things.

I think the course was good for me because Joshua was also new to FoxPro and we didn't get lost in a lot of "advanced" topics that would be above my knowledge. It was an excellent pace for absorbing the material.

Dear Phil:

I really enjoyed your seminar. It definitely helped me to better understand the language & structure of FoxPro, and it helped to make the conceptualization of the development of an object-oriented program much clearer to me.
